Careful software that shows its sources.

Open Grove is a small software company. We make mobile apps that use AI carefully. Answers point back to the text they come from, everyday tools stay free, and chats are never used to train AI.

Our first product

Hilm

Hilm is an app for Muslims. It brings accurate prayer times, the Qur’an and an AI assistant together in one calm place.

Ask an everyday question about practice and Hilm answers with the classical source it relies on, so you can read it yourself. When the sources don’t cover a question, Hilm says so.

Status
In development. A private beta opens soon.
Platforms
iPhone first, then Android.
Pricing
Prayer times, the Qur’an and every source are free, with no ads. Chatting with Hilm is free to try, then a paid membership sold through the App Store.

    Today’s prayer times
  • A full answer in Hilm to a question about praying while travelling, with the reasoning and a numbered list of sources.
    An answer with its sources
  • Design previews. The app is still in development.

How we work

Four rules we build by

  • Show the source

Every answer links to the passage it comes from. If the sources don’t cover a question, the app says so instead of guessing.

  • Keep data private

No ads, and chats are never used to train AI. Nobody reads your chats unless you report a problem or say yes.

  • Say what it is

Our assistants tell people plainly that they are AI. They help people learn and look things up. They don’t replace a teacher, a doctor or a counsellor.

  • Free where it counts

Daily tools and every source stay free. Paid features are optional, and the price is shown before anyone pays.
